Organizations and initiatives like this are crucial because they champion projects written, directed, and/or produced by women, people of color and LGBTQ members. With a ton of think pieces floating around about the lack of diversity, they help bridge the gap between the conversation to creation.
As I had mentioned in another blog post (Feb 25, 2016), diverse voices aren’t just about social justice. They are an invaluable source of inspiration that can innovate and reinvent the storytelling medium. They open up a world of possibilities.
